India Signs Loan Agreements with World Bank for US$ 500 Million for SIDBI
1. The Loan Agreements for World Bank (IBRD) assistance of US$ 500 million to Small Industries Development Bank of India (SIDBI) for MSME Growth Innovation and Inclusive Finance Project was signed between Government of India and the World Bank.
2. The Loan Agreement was signed by Kshatrapati Shivaji, CMD, SIDBI and Mr. Onno Ruhl, Country Director (India) of World Bank on behalf of the World Bank.

Max Life Insurance has tied up with Lakshmi Vilas Bank
1. Max Life Insurance has tied up with Lakshmi Vilas Bank for distribution of life insurance products through the bank's 400 branches across the country. 
2. It is a 5-year strategic alliance for bancassurance.

NABARD sanctions loan of Rs 112.60 crores  to Haryana
1. NABARD has sanctioned a loan of Rs 112.60 crore to the Haryana Government under Rural Infrastructure Development Fund (RIDF).
2. The loan was granted to Haryana by NABARD for construction of College of Dairy Science and Technology under Lala Lajpat Rai University of Veterinary and Animal Sciences in Hisar district.
3. The project is aimed at giving impetus to animal husbandry sector. Every year around 250 students will pass out of the college with B Tech in Dairy Technology.

Japan seeks deeper ties with India in security, defence
1. Japan has sought enhanced co-operation with India in defence and security sector including in the field of maritime security.
2. Defence Minister of India Manohar Parrikar, is on official visit to Japan, held talks with country’s Foreign Minister Fumio Kishida in Tokyo.
3. He said, Japan would like to further strengthen economic co-operation with India and jointly work to enhance regional connectivity.

Daikin India Signs up as team Sponsor for Delhi Daredevils
1. Japanese air conditioner maker Daikin India has signed up with IPL franchise Delhi Daredevils as team sponsor.
2. Kanwaljeet Jawa, Managing Director, Daikin India, said this is a part of the company’s strategy to reach out to more consumers, especially in smaller cities using association with IPL this summer.

GOI and World Bank Sign Agreement for $ 43 Million for Partial Risk Sharing Facility for Energy Efficiency.
The World Bank and the Government of India signed here today a $43 million grant and guarantee agreement towards the Partial Risk Sharing Facility for Energy Efficiency (PRSF) project.
It will help enterprises and Energy Service Companies (ESCOs) to mobilize commercial finance for investments in energy efficiency initiatives.

1. Kings XI Punjab has announced its partnership with image recognition and augmented reality platform, Blippar
2. It said that the collaboration for IPL Season 8 will provide fans an opportunity to book tickets and buy merchandise online via their smart phones.

Operation Raahat to evacuate indian Nationals from yemen 
1. India launched Operation Raahat to evacuate 4000 Indian nationals from Yemen.
2. The operation started after India got permission to dock its offshore patrol vessel INS Sumitra at the Aden harbor of Yemen.
3. In the evacuation exercise, 350 Indian nationals were evacuated from Aden to Djibouti by INS Sumitra. The nationals will be flown to India in two Air Force C-17 Globemasters.

Union Government launches FAME-India scheme to boost electric, hybrid vehicle sales
1. Union Government on 1 April 2015 launched Faster Adoption and Manufacturing of Hybrid and Electric vehicles (FAME) – India Scheme.
2. The scheme had been launched as part of the National Mission for Electric Mobility to boost Eco-friendly vehicles sales in the country.

Isro IRNSS-1D launch brings India to Own GPS-Like System
1. India is all set to operationalise its own navigational system with the successful launch of IRNSS-1D, the fourth in the series of seven navigational satellites, on board PSLV-C27 from Sriharikota.
2. The expendable rocket had a single but important luggage, the 1,425 kg IRNSS-1D.
3. The rocket blasted off from the second launch pad at the Satish Dhawan Space Centre, around 80 km from Chennai.

Justice Sunil Kumar Sinha appointed as the Chief Justice of the Sikkim High Court
1. Justice Sunil Kumar Sinha on 30 March 2015 has been appointed as the Chief Justice of the Sikkim High Court (HC).
2. He was appointed by the President Pranab Mukherjee with accordance with the Article 217 (1) of the Constitution of India.

Andhra Pradesh Cabinet approves Amaravathi as the new capital of the State
1. Andhra Pradesh Cabinet headed by Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu on 1 April 2015 approved Amaravathi to be the new capital city of the state.
2. The capital is to come up at Tullur in Vijayawada-Guntur region of the state.

Operation Olivia launched to save turtles
1. With a view to prevent further deaths of Olive Ridley turtles, the Coast Guard has launched ‘Operation Olivia’ to enforce the provisions of the Marine Fishing Regulatory Act.
2. It is to be launched in Porto Nuovo in Cuddalore district in Chennai.

India ranks 119 on global business resilience index
1. India has been ranked a low 119 out of 130 countries on an index that measures business resilience of nations based on economic, risk quality and supply chain factors, dropping seven notches from last year.
2. The 2015 FM Global Resilience Index has been topped by Norway.
